New Cumnock Local Jobs and Business Register
Welcome to the New Cumnock Local Jobs and Business Register, a new service that connects businesses and job hunters with wind energy and construction projects in the area.
New Cumnock has been at the heart of energy production for over a century with its long history of coal mining. The area boasts an excellent wind resource and as a result has become a centre of national significance for onshore wind production.
As schemes are developed, built and maintained they offer the opportunity of creating and sustaining local jobs by supporting local business.
About the Register
The New Cumnock Local Jobs and Business Register aims to encourage and maximise the use of local labour, suppliers and contractors. The Register will list and promote all local businesses that have the skills and experience to support the development of wind farm projects.
The Register makes it easier for developers and contractors involved in constructing and operating wind schemes to connect with local businesses and share job opportunities.
We want to create and sustain local employment and supplier opportunities. We also want to help the wider community benefit from the local economic boost created from the North Kyle development and other similar projects nearby. Find our more about the project.
