The New Cumnock Local Jobs and Business Register aims to maximise the use of local labour, suppliers and contractors. The Register will list and promote all local businesses that have the skills and experience to support the development of wind farm projects.
The Register makes it easier for developers and contractors involved in constructing and operating wind schemes to connect with local businesses and share job opportunities.
We want to create and sustain local employment and supplier opportunities. We also want to help the wider community benefit from the local economic boost created from the North Kyle development and other similar projects nearby

The project was initially developed by Brockwell Energy Limited. They were formed in 2017 to raise investment capital to develop an £800 million portfolio of energy projects, predominantly in Scotland, on and around former coal mining and industrial sites.
Brockwell’s focus is on a range of renewable technologies, including Energy-from-Waste (EfW), solar photovoltaics and onshore wind. We are also keen to explore the investment opportunities around other exciting projects such as battery storage and other flexible generation assets to support the government’s drive towards a low-carbon economy. The Register project set up was funded by Brockwell Energy, but is managed by the New Cumnock Development Trust.
